This team supports some of the world's major organizations in successfully integrating their websites on our platform. As an integrated team, we deliver services to architects with optimum solutions for customers' unique requirements.

Partner with the best

Work with Akamai's customers to design and implement solutions maximizing ROI, reducing risk, and optimizing business initiatives. You will collaborate to solve complex infrastructure and application performance challenges aligned with our customers' business strategy.

As a Solutions Architect II, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning the design, architecture, testing, and go-live technical aspects to ensure web, media, and security solutions.
  • Being a proactive technical consultant and trusted advisor for our customers, delivering value with every engagement.
  • Analyzing customer traffic and implementing Akamai security/delivery/compute solutions to address customers' security/delivery/compute needs
  • Delivering coaching and training to customers to ensure the value and usability of our products.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues that arise during customer implementations.
  • Leveraging Akamai tooling for technical implementation, automation, and enabling the use of APIs

Do what you love

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree, with 5+ years of experience in web applications, internet fundamentals, DNS, routing, and communication protocols.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the common OWASP top 10 and how they relate to internet service compromise or attacks.
  • Be familiar with scripting languages such as Python/PERL/JavaScript and JavaScript, and the overall DevOps framework & web development languages.
  • Be proficient in one or more web development languages, methodologies, or architectures.
  • Have exposure to Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Show expertise in a technical client-facing role, aiming to provide consulting services and resolve complex challenges through creative solutions.
  • Display communication and presentation skills that allow you to articulate highly technical information concisely.
