Tria Federal is seeking a Solutions Architect to support a large-scale Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Infrastructure Operations initiative focused on Application Hosting, Compute & Storage services. This effort supports enterprise hosting, cloud operations, compute infrastructure, virtualization, enterprise storage operations, operational resiliency, and infrastructure modernization across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. The Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership supporting enterprise infrastructure modernization, hybrid cloud transformation, operational resiliency, automation initiatives, virtualization environments, and enterprise operational sustainment. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across hybrid cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure operations, virtualization, enterprise storage, automation, and operational modernization within large federal enterprise environments.

Basic RequirementsSolutions Architect responsible for designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions across hybrid cloud, compute, storage, virtualization, and enterprise hosting environments.
Experience supporting large federal enterprise infrastructure operations environments within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), or similar federal agencies.
Hands-on experience architecting and supporting:
- AWS and Azure cloud environments
- VMware virtualization platforms
- Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments
- Enterprise hosting platforms
- Enterprise storage environments
- Disaster recovery architectures
- Infrastructure automation frameworks
Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions leveraging:
- Terraform
- Ansible
- CI/CD pipelines
- Automation orchestration
- Monitoring automation
Strong experience supporting enterprise storage and backup environments including:
- NetApp
- Dell EMC
- Commvault
- Replication technologies
- Disaster recovery operations
Experience supporting cybersecurity and compliance initiatives including:
- RMF
- NIST 800-53
- FedRAMP
- DISA STIGs
- Zero Trust architectures
- Fifteen (15) years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments with at least eight (8) years serving in technical architecture or engineering leadership roles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.

- AWS Solutions Architect
- Azure Solutions Architect
- Red Hat OpenShift
- VMware VCP
- Kubernetes certifications
- CISSP
- Provide technical leadership supporting enterprise hosting, compute, cloud, virtualization, and storage environments.
- Design and support hybrid cloud operational architectures leveraging AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenShift, and Kubernetes platforms.
- Support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives focused on operational resiliency, automation, scalability, and cloud transformation.
- Architect enterprise storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions supporting mission-critical healthcare and benefits systems.
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives leveraging Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD integration, and operational orchestration frameworks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, engineering, and customer stakeholders to design secure and scalable enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Support cybersecurity compliance activities including RMF, continuous monitoring, operational hardening, vulnerability remediation, and Zero Trust initiatives.
- Support operational optimization efforts focused on automation, resiliency, operational efficiency, and modernization.
- Develop architecture documentation, engineering designs, implementation plans, operational procedures, and technical roadmaps.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and operational support teams.
