ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for defining the overall structure of a Health Care IT program or system.
  • Engage with development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate application requirements into scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Communicate solutions with customers, management, and teaming partners, including presentations and white papers.
  • Responsible for developing the technical guidelines and best practices to define the workload and operate optimally with the multi-tenant shared platform.
  • Provide expertise, direction, and technical oversight in the implementation and maintenance of application in AWS environment.
  • Scope technical epics, review with the team, define scope and acceptance criteria prior to development.
  • Provide ongoing support to teams to help keep overall solution vision on track
    Mentor developers and other technical resources to learn the ins and outs of the services and solutions.
  • Develop a roadmap and vision to operate more cost-effectively.
  • Increase cloud infrastructure performance and cost-effectiveness with capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Develop lifecycle cost models to support architecture decision trades.
  • Stay current on latest technologies and solutions in the industry.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience leading architecture of application integration, migration, and sustainment solutions involving understanding of software support, maintenance, and sustainment.
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis and development to include requirements allocation to software systems functionality
  • Experience with outlining potential solution approaches, that includes cost estimation, tool evaluation and vet approaches with program managers, product managers and technical leads
  • Proficient in implementing Agile, Dev Ops and other SW development methodologies.
  • Ability to do proof of concepts for technical solutions prior to socializing with teams.
  • Experience with core AWS platforms architecture, including areas such as: Organizations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies and strong experience with EC2s, ELBs, and SGs.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, or similar). Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. Working experience with traditional and NoSQL DBs
  • Experience in analyzing database models and database related issues and providing architectural recommendations.
  • Experience in representing the team for vendor cost analysis, Technical Review board, JAD sessions etc.
  • Experience in monitoring the operations and security of EC2, container and AWS services.
  • Experience in implementing and/or migrating technical solutions in AWS, MS Azure, or Google Cloud for Federal / State Government Customers.
  • Exposure in the latest technologies such as AI/ ML, Gen AI, RPA etc.
  • IT specific domain knowledge, including ITIL; End user computing; Network engineering; Enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to develop system architectures and system designs of varying complexity for federal government organizations.
  • Proficiency with a combination of software products and experience with multiple operating systems, coding languages, and databases
  • Ability to lead and support technical design and architecture development. This may include producing designs including requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration.
  • Extensive technical breadth, through experience in the IT industry. This breadth should be in areas of application development, and IT Infrastructure/services.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in architecting solutions for federal agency preferable Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)
  • Experience in data extraction process for licensures, criminal screening using third party vendors.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or comparable field
  • 10+ years of experience in related filed.
  • AWS certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional) preferred.
  • Agile/SAFe Certified preferred.
