Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Computer System Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs; Developing applications using Java, Java 17, J2EE, and TDD platforms; Building JSON and XML data files; Building service payloads for data transfers; Resolving application dependencies using Maven and Gradle; Testing code and running coverage reports using Spring, Junit, and Mockito; Regression testing using Cucumber; Building microservices that interact with pub-sub models using Apache Kafka; Building UI components using ReactJS or AngularJS; Developing applications using Eclipse, IntelliJ, GIT, and Bitbucket repositories; Deploying applications using CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Kubernetes pipelines; Establishing CI/CD pipelines including integrated automated testing and deployment processes; Implementing relational database models using Oracle and SQL; Gathering requirements for sprint deliverables; Identifying opportunities for process improvements within sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives using JIRA; Architecting and designing HLD and LLD; Implementing fault-tolerant software solutions for financial application processing systems; Applying design patterns; Implementing Spring Security using OAuth; Integrating APIGEE gateway solutions for secure transaction processing; Building financial application solutions using API interactions, security protocols, and data exchanges; Implementing sharding and in-memory caching for low latency processing; Building secure application solutions using data encryption, authentication, and access control measures; Tracking application performance, diagnosing bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations using Splunk; Conducting load and stress testing and making adjustments based on performance metrics.
