Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Software Engineer - Level 3/4 to join our team. This position can be based out of Redondo Beach, CA, or Aurora, CO.

In this role, you will develop and sustain several mission operational SW product lines, as well as develop new capabilities as coordinated with their restricted SCI Customer. You will join a large team comprising of multiple subsystems, each with a specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our Customer’s national security mission.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Software Engineer - Level 3: 5 years with Bachelors; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Software Engineer - Level 4: 8 years with Bachelors; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Active SSBI required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain SCI prior to start

  • Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills

  • Proficiency with C++ programming

  • Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DevSecOps Test Automation experience

  • Experience with programming/scripting languages: C. C++. Java, Python, Perl)

  • Strong skills in math and algorithms

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders

  • Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process

  • Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)

  • Experience developing in a Linux environment using git

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
