Workday Adaptive Planning, with a 7000+ customer base, is the only enterprise planning platform that gives every department, not just finance, the power to create multiple plans, the way it wants—and to roll it all up into one plan. The result? Connected models that are always in sync. This makes the complex planning process fast, smart and accurate.The Evaluator team is the heart of the Planning application. We are constantly innovating ways to evaluate these complex n-dimensional models at speed and scale to match the growing complexity of financial planning.
About the Role
The Role:
We are looking for a fast and eager learner to join our engineering team and continue revolutionizing the heart of our application. The ideal candidate will be a backend developer with some experience working on enterprise web applications.
About You
Basic Qualification
5+ years experience in software development engineering including designing, developing, and deploying software solutions in Java programming language.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Other Qualification
Strong ability in Algorithmic Thinking and iterative problem solving skills to design and optimize solutions.
Strong skills in creating Technical Writing Documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with micro services architecture
Solid experience with REST API Development
Strong understanding of Code Testing methodologies, such as Unit, Integration, and Performance Testing, and experience with Selenium and TestRail.
Experience in Observability stack such as ELK, Grafana.
Familiarity with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor is a plus
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
