Productiv started with a vision to transform the way enterprises manage and optimize their software portfolios. With a focus on driving efficiency and transparency in IT, Procurement, and Finance departments, we're revolutionizing SaaS management. At Productiv, we believe in enabling companies to make data-driven decisions that propel growth and foster innovation.
What You’ll Do:As a Software Engineer I, you’ll contribute to our core customer-facing product areas by owning function-specific projects. You’ll work across the stack: building, maintaining, and iterating on systems that solve meaningful user problems, while growing your ability to make thoughtful technical decisions and proactively identifying issues that could impact project success.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and fellow engineers, applying your technical skills to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions. You’re becoming increasingly confident in navigating complexity, communicating technical decisions clearly, and contributing to team-wide engineering quality through peer reviews and documentation.
How You’ll Make an Impact:- Own small to medium features and contribute to larger projects, regularly providing updates and asking for input at key decision points.
- Participate in technical design discussions, developing the ability to weigh trade-offs and consider system performance and maintainability.
- Identify and communicate potential blockers, edge cases, or dependencies in your work, seeking guidance when strategic input is needed.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code; contribute to peer code reviews and uphold a quality-first mindset across the team.
- Debug issues effectively, owning resolution for most problems you’ve seen before and growing your skills in navigating new or complex bugs.
- Translate product requirements into user-centered technical solutions, collaborating with product and design to shape thoughtful features.
- Work with increasing independence while continuing to learn from your manager and senior teammates through code reviews, pairing, and feedback.
- 1–3 years of software engineering experience, including ownership of features or systems within a team setting.
- Hands-on experience in JavaScript/Typescript, Java, Go, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of full-stack development principles and the ability to contribute across the product lifecycle - from design to deployment.
- Experience with version control, testing methodologies, debugging tools, and performance optimization.
- Strong communication skills: you can clearly articulate trade-offs, explain technical concepts to non-technical collaborators, and document your work well.
- A proactive mindset, eagerness to take ownership, and the ability to plan for and adapt to technical challenges as they arise.
- Experience with modern frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React), cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and CI/CD tools is a plus.

Not everyone will match the above qualifications 100%. If your experiences don’t perfectly align, but you think you’d be a great addition to our team, we’d still love to hear from you.
