About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced temporary hire to cover Director of Client Engagement and Marketing to lead a high-performing team during parental leave. This role is responsible for executing on a defined vision, guiding execution, and ensuring alignment across multiple marketing functions with the overarching goal of elevating client experience, brand strength, and product adoption.
This role will be temporary, with an anticipated duration of ~6 months.
What you’ll do here:
- Execution of 2025 Strategic Plans & Operational Oversight:
- Lead the execution of FareHarbor’s established 2025 client engagement and marketing strategy. Ensure successful implementation across all core areas—integrated client marketing campaigns, content marketing and thought leadership, and community —by setting clear priorities, resolving roadblocks, and maintaining team momentum toward annual goals.
- Marketing Campaigns topics will be defined. Your role will be to review campaign briefs, communication plans, and campaign deliverables, ensure the appropriate stakeholders are included for review and that individual team members are leveraging the appropriate cross functional resources to ensure campaign success.
- Content Marketing - Oversee the execution of the pre-defined content marketing strategy. Support team in gaining buy-in and support from cross functional departments. Review content deliverables to ensure quality.
- Community - Ensure event planning and execution is successful. Support team in gaining buy-in from cross departmental leadership and clear roadblocks to ensure successful event execution.
- Plan adjustment - Adjust campaign, content marketing or community plans based on shifting business needs and results. Leverage the existing team's insight and other leadership to identify the appropriate shifts and ensure execution of those new priorities.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and workload of the team while upholding strategic intent and ensuring continued alignment with business objectives.
- Review and provide feedback on team deliverables
- Lead the execution of FareHarbor’s established 2025 client engagement and marketing strategy. Ensure successful implementation across all core areas—integrated client marketing campaigns, content marketing and thought leadership, and community —by setting clear priorities, resolving roadblocks, and maintaining team momentum toward annual goals.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Manage, coach, and support a diverse team of 13 professionals.
- Empower manager and individual contributors to own execution while providing hands on support, direction, resources, and performance feedback.
- Leverage knowledge of the existing team and delegate effectively.
- Deliver 2025 year end reviews.
- Executing on the onboarding of a new Manager, Marketing including support of getting them up to speed, coaching on management skills and oversight of progress towards goals.
- 2026 Planning
- Leverage existing plans and team insight to guide 2026 budgeting, department objectives setting and individual goal setting conversations.
- Conduct cross functional alignment meetings to ensure original 2026 plans are aligned with business objectives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing including 3+ years in a senior or director-level leadership role.
Proven experience managing and developing high-performing marketing or engagement teams.
Strong background in strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. - Experience with campaign management, content strategy, and event programs.
- Strong bias for action and confidence in decision making
- Strong ability to delegate and leverage the existing teams skills and company knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, including executive reporting and stakeholder alignment.
- Background in SaaS, B2B, or tech-enabled services preferred. Experience in the travel or activities industry is a plus.
- Experience with generative engine optimization
Salary Range: $132,720-$199,080 annually (please note - this will be a temporary role with a 6-month duration)
