WHO WE NEED:
Did you major in Mathematics, Engineering, or another similar logical discipline outside of Computer Science, but wish you could do over those 4 years to be a programmer? Well, HCSSis looking for an Entry-level Software Developer (VDF) to join us!
What's unique about this role is that we'll PAY and TEACH you to become a Software Developer, building software products for the construction industry.
A strong propensity for programming is required.HUGE plus if you've done a lot of coding projects (from class or on the side) and have the ability to think algorithmically
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
During your first three months, you'll go through a rigorous training program learning VDF/Visual DataFlex (desktop application) programming and completing assignments to demonstrate a command of languages, libraries, and other programming tools. You must be able to learn quickly and take the initiative to utilize resources outside of what is provided in order to succeed. We keep our class sizes small (3-4 people) so you have more 1:1 attention with the instructor. You must be able to work full-time from Monday to Friday during normal business hours.
After 3 months, your schedule will be more flexible, and you'll join a development team of 3-8 people to work on one of our industry-leading products!
