In This Role
In this role, you will serve as the social media voice for one of the world’s most recognized gaming franchises. You will be responsible for managing and growing social channels, shaping content strategies, and building meaningful engagement with a global player community. This position offers the opportunity to own high-profile campaigns, collaborate across marketing, creative, and game development teams, and drive social storytelling that resonates with millions of players worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement social media strategies that align with overarching brand tone, goals, and audience insights.
- Define channel priorities, set measurable goals, and deliver campaigns tied to major franchise beats.
- Partner with marketing, PR, and game development teams to create and execute content campaigns.
- Lead brainstorming sessions, content ideation, and creative development.
- Draft copy, schedule posts, and oversee daily publishing on owned social channels.
- Monitor social media platforms, track sentiment, and engage directly with player communities.
- Identify and curate user-generated content (UGC), as well as potential influencers and creators.
- Provide recommendations to creative teams on social-first asset development.
- Track and analyze content performance, set benchmarks, and report insights through dashboards.
- Contribute to community engagement strategies and support campaign measurement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, and campaign management.
- Experience managing high-volume social channels for a well-known brand or product.
- Strong understanding of community engagement and audience growth strategies.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current social trends, features, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice to brand needs.
- Demonstrated data analysis and storytelling skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (Sprinklr or similar) and Microsoft Office 365.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the gaming industry or managing social media for a gaming franchise.
- Familiarity with the featured franchise and its audience.
- Copywriting expertise with a sharp sense of cultural relevance and trend awareness.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $85,000 - $90,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
