We are looking for a hands-on Snowflake Data engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, development, performance tuning, automation, and security. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Snowflake's core capabilities and be comfortable working across development, administration, and platform optimization activities.

Base Compensation Range: 80,000 - 85,000
The posted range is the hiring range for this role — a subset of the broader range available to employees over time — and reflects base salary across our national hiring scale. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications. For positions based in higher-cost zones (e.g., California, New York, New Jersey), actual compensation may exceed the posted range; your recruiter will share specifics during the process.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, and stored procedures.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Design and implement data ingestion and automation solutions using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and scripting.
- Manage Snowflake users, roles, permissions, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Optimize performance using clustering, micro-partitioning, query profiling, and warehouse tuning.
- Build integrations with cloud platforms, BI tools, APIs, and external applications.
- Leverage Snowflake Cortex and other latest Snowflake features for AI-driven use cases.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support platform monitoring and optimization.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake Architecture and Data Cloud platform.
- Expertise in Snowflake SQL, query tuning, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Stored Procedures, UDFs, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark.
- Experience with Cortex AI features, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Data Sharing, and Materialized Views.
- Strong understanding of RBAC, security, user/role management, and data governance.
- Experience with Python and Shell scripting for automation.
- Knowledge of clustering, micro-partitioning, warehouse management, and cost optimization.
- Experience integrating Snowflake with Power BI, Sigma, APIs, Azure/AWS, and other enterprise applications.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of IT experience with at least 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake development experience.
- SnowPro Certification is a plus.
