What you'll do:
As the SMB Marketing Partnerships Specialist, you will drive the development and execution of strategic B2B and affiliate marketing initiatives aimed at accelerating deposit growth and supporting our digital lending ecosystem. Your primary objective will be to expand Grasshopper’s deposit portfolio by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing high-value partnerships and affiliate networks, while also leveraging digital channels to support the SBA lending digital application. In addition to sourcing new opportunities, you will serve as the primary relationship lead with our third-party affiliate agency, optimizing overall campaign performance. Your work will directly impact team revenue performance by acquiring high-value borrowers, focusing on converting traffic into funded loans and new deposit relationships.
- Develop and implement comprehensive partner marketing strategies to promote Grasshopper’s SMB deposit products, driving high-quality inbound business deposits
- Collaborate on digital marketing initiatives designed to drive traffic and boost conversions for the SBA digital loan application via partner and affiliate channels
- Own and optimize the affiliate marketing channel, serving as the main point of contact and strategic lead for our third-party affiliate agency
- Cultivate, onboard, and oversee strategic B2B partnerships (e.g., fintechs, SaaS platforms, small business communities) to generate continuous deposit referrals
- Partner with agencies and internal teams to manage day-to-day operations, including partner offer structures, creative asset distribution, and landing page conversion optimization
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), partner-driven deposit volume, and lifetime value (LTV)
- Perform competitive analysis within the digital banking space to identify new affiliate networks, emerging distribution channels, and innovative partnership structures
- Utilize web analytics tools and internal dashboards to track partner traffic behavior, optimize conversion funnels, and ensure strong ROI on marketing spend
- Review agency and partner-facing content to ensure all messaging is accurate, compliant with financial regulations, and fully aligned with Grasshopper’s brand guidelines
- Drive revenue growth by managing end-to-end outbound lead generation and nurture strategies designed to shorten the sales cycle and convert high-intent prospective borrowers.

What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in partner marketing, affiliate marketing, or business development, preferably within financial services, fintech, or B2B SaaS
- Direct experience managing third-party agencies or affiliate networks is preferred
- Experience or familiarity with SMB banking products, commercial deposits, and digital lending platforms (experience with SBA loan products is a strong plus)
- Proven track record of managing digital campaigns that directly contributed to revenue targets or sales pipelines, with a deep understanding of the B2B sales cycle, particularly within financial services/banking
- Strong ability to collaborate across Marketing and Sales departments, with experience aligning lead quality with team revenue goals
- Strong grasp of channel marketing principles and best practices
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads Manager, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various digital channels
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Braze) and CRM systems is advantageous
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence external partners
