The Position

Our client is a tech-enabled managed security services provider operating across North America. They leverage a vast network of vetted, local security vendors and off-duty law enforcement, along with a proprietary software platform, to deliver scalable guarding, off-duty, specialized and remote security services with real-time visibility, performance tracking, and data-driven billing. The company is highly growth-oriented, continuously evolving its tech infrastructure and expanding its footprint via acquisitions and platform investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the national sales organization, including VP-level leaders and national sales directors, driving accountability and consistent performance.
  • Own the complete revenue number across new business acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Diagnose and turn around underperforming segments, rebuilding pipeline, sales motion, and incentive structures to restore growth.
  • Build scalable, repeatable sales playbooks and a tech-enabled operating model leveraging CRM, CPQ, predictive analytics, and automation.
  • Partner with Marketing on demand generation and lead handoff, and assume ownership of inbound and inside-sales functions.
  • Partner with Finance and the deal desk on pricing strategy, deal structuring, and margin discipline.
  • Serve as a senior commercial face of the company for strategic accounts, leading executive engagement and high-value deal cycles.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making through CRM hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline and health reporting.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools and reporting rigor across the sales organization to improve predictability and visibility.

Qualifications and Candidate Background

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years in B2B sales leadership, including experience running national or multi-site sales organizations.
  • Experience leading labor-based, multi-site services businesses (hourly workforce, bill-rate / pay-rate models) or tech-enabled, vendor-managed services; exposure to the security ecosystem strongly preferred for credibility with the team.
  • Proven track record owning $100M+ in revenue responsibility with strong new-business and retention outcomes.
  • Demonstrated turnaround experience rebuilding or scaling an underperforming sales team or segment.
  • Proven experience operating with or within private equity-backed environments, thriving under the rigor, pace, and performance expectations required to deliver aggressive growth and EBITDA improvement targets.
  • Strong proficiency leveraging CRM, CPQ, analytics, and reporting tools to drive operational rigor; digital and reporting literacy is a non-negotiable.
  • Ability to lead a layered team of VPs and directors, with strong coaching, accountability, and talent development.
  • A mature, influential, and diplomatic leader who can both challenge and support sales strategy and earn the trust of the team.
  • Command of pricing nuance and value selling over transactional, discount-led wins.
