Position Summary:
We are looking to hire a talented, eager, and skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to join our US team in a remote position. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our web software products. You will be responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into intuitive, elegant, and accessible interfaces that delight customers and drive engagement.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and developers to understand requirements, user goals, and technical constraints
- Lead the design process from discovery through delivery, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design
- Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure product consistency and scalability
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine and validate design decisions
- Translate complex workflows into clear, user-friendly interfaces that reduce friction and support efficiency
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation of design specifications
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design practices across all products
- Monitor design trends, emerging tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve product usability and aesthetics
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining design integrity
- Mentor junior designers, providing guidance, critiques, and professional development support
- Contribute to the growth and maturity of the design function within the product and engineering organization
- Complete all required initial and ongoing training within a reasonable or provided timeframe
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- At least five years of professional experience in UI/UX design for web-based software
- Proven experience designing complex applications and workflows
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in interaction design, visual design, and design systems
- Prior experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries is highly valuable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Strong understanding of usability principles, information architecture, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility in design decisions
- Innovative problem-solver with strong critical thinking skills
- Thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining creativity and precision under pressure
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Hire and train staff
- Schedule, organize, and assign projects to members of the team
- Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and coaching as needed
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
- Promote a positive and professional work environment that attracts and retains the best talent
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding processes for design staff
