About the role
The Senior Telecom Consultant will independently manage assigned Telecom work, support the Telecom Consultant Lead, guide Level 1 -2 Consultants when needed, and flag project risks early to support the successful delivery of ARES projects.
What you'll do
- Independently manage assigned Telecom design tasks in alignment with project scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
- Support the Telecom Consultant Lead by providing regular updates on project progress, deliverables, budget status, risks, and potential scope changes.
- Track project hours and budget performance in Deltek, identifying potential overruns or billing concerns and escalating issues proactively.
- Identify out-of-scope requests and coordinate with the Telecom Consultant Lead regarding change order requirements.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to Level 1 and Level 2 Telecom Consultants.
- Develop, review, and coordinate Telecom design documentation, including RFIs, RFQs, submittals, and quality control reviews.
- Support BIM coordination activities, document management, and coordination with project stakeholders and MEP disciplines as required.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other design tools to perform markups, coordination, and review tracking.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client engagements as required.
- Complete timesheets, project documentation, and other administrative requirements accurately and on time while supporting overall team success.
Qualifications
- Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings
- Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards
- Experience with Revit software
- Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary
- Credentials as an RCDD or working towards this title (preferred)
- Electrical Engineering degree, or related discipline (preferred)
