What we’re looking forWe are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to scale Jua.ai’s engineering and technical teams. In this role, you’ll combine deep technical literacy in AI and ML with recruiting execution to identify, attract and close exceptional talent.
You will be responsible not only for sourcing and closing world-class talent but also for building long-term pipelines and partnering closely with founders and hiring managers. This is a hybrid role based in Zurich, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants to have a real impact.
Responsibilities and tasksOwn and drive the end-to-end recruitment process for technical roles, from sourcing and outreach to interviews, stakeholder alignment, and offer creation and negotiation, maintaining a consistently high hiring bar
Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to engage and convert high-quality, passive candidates
Proactively build and maintain strategic talent pipelines aligned with Jua.ai’s growth roadmap
Design and continuously improve interview processes, assessments, and overall candidate experience
Ensure compliance with Swiss labour law, visa and immigration requirements, and internal standards across all hiring activities
Provide data-informed market insights on compensation, talent availability, and competitor activity
Act as an ambassador for Jua.ai by representing us at events and driving employer branding initiatives (e.g. hackathons, meetups, university fairs)
Support broader People Operations initiatives (e.g. process documentation, HR policy updates, data reporting)
Contribute to cultural and engagement initiatives that strengthen retention and ensure Jua remains a place where top talent thrives
5+ years of recruitment experience, with a strong focus on hiring engineering and technical talent in fast-paced startup or scaling environments
Proven experience owning the full recruitment lifecycle end-to-end and building or improving hiring processes, not just executing on existing ones
Excellent stakeholder management and advisory skills, with proven ability to partner closely with founders and senior technical leadership
Demonstrated ability to assess and discuss technical concepts (e.g. model training, MLOps, cloud infrastructure, or data pipelines) with hiring teams and candidates
Proven experience hiring for deep tech roles (AI/ML, infrastructure, or related technical domains)
Track record of hiring exceptional (top percentile) talent in competitive markets with high velocity
Strong sourcing ability, with a track record of identifying and engaging niche or hard-to-reach talent
Data-driven approach to recruiting (e.g. funnel metrics, conversion rates, pipeline quality, structured evaluation)
Fluent in English
Familiarity with employment practices and hiring processes in Europe; Swiss labour law and visa knowledge is a plus
Experience hiring in Switzerland or the DACH region
Basic coding experience or hands-on technical background
German language skills
