Key Responsibilities:

KBR is seeking a Senior level Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support Air Force Research Laboratory projects.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining requirements, interfaces, model-based systems engineering, test and verification plans and system integration plans based upon customer needs, gap analysis and evaluation of future system performance.
  • This work will be conducted at the SCI and SAP levels.

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal (0-10%)
  • Working Hours: Normal business hours    

Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required to be considered for this position
  • Education: BS in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
  • Develop, analyze, allocate, and maintain system and system-of-systems requirements
  • Mission Engineering experience is a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience in system engineering
  • 5+ years in system requirements analysis and allocation
  • 2+ Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods and tools
  • Independent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities, including knowledge and experience in requirements development, analysis, verification, and test
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Special Access and/or SCI programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently or as a team member
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical project teams
  • Assess operational effectiveness of current and future capabilities
  • Evaluate mission impacts resulting from system changes or new capabilities
  • Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability through verification and validation activities
  • Identify architecture risks, interface risks, and requirements gaps

Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 (For Colorado Only)

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Other Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
