The Role:

As Senior Strategic Planning Director, you will lead a strategic, insight-driven approach to customizing our Conversational Engagement Platform to meet each client’s unique goals and users’ real-world needs. You’ll work closely with insight, strategy, and technology teams to translate research and data into actionable strategies that ensure relevance, value, and impact across every touchpoint.

Your role will also involve leveraging these insights to create clear, compelling creative briefs that align creative messaging with strategic objectives. By understanding both the client’s business goals and the needs of the audience, you will guide the development of creative and media strategies that resonate and engage.

Ideal candidates for this role will live in the St. Louis, MO area. While our day-to-day work is done remotely, our teams gather in person for intentional work 2-3 times a week. Our remote teams are expected to travel to St. Louis on a regular basis.


 Key Areas of Responsibility  

  • Insight Application: Utilize primary and secondary research to inform deliverables and strategy. Insight will be applied to ensure that all efforts are aligned with the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the target audience, guiding effective and impactful decision-making.
  • Strategic Foundation Creation: Develop key strategic foundation assets, including positioning and communication architecture, to guide teams in creating cohesive creative, content, and media strategies.
  • Creative Brief Development: Transform assignments into insightful, distilled creative briefs that effectively guide the development of media strategies and align creative assets with strategic objectives. Remain actively involved throughout the creative process to ensure alignment.
  • Personalized Engagement Strategies: Contribute to the development of precision-targeted, personalized digital engagement and content strategies, working in close partnership with media and content teams.
  • Campaign Performance & Optimization: Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to assess the performance of client platform implementations and associated media campaigns, providing strategic guidance and identifying optimization opportunities to enhance results.
  • Client Engagement & Opportunity Identification: Proactively engage with existing clients to analyze market trends, uncover new opportunities, and identify challenges that can be addressed through strategic adjustments or innovations.
Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing strategy position within an agency 
  • A deep understanding of healthcare marketing strategies and tactics  
  • Successful storyteller who sets up and leads the narrative for clients, from new business to current clients 
  • Lead client collaborations and ideation sessions 
  • Can clearly and persuasively communicate strategic recommendations to internal and external audiences 
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to translate complex ideas into simple stories. 
  • Willingness to travel and be flexible in scheduling to accommodate project needs
