As Product Marketing Manager for AI, you will lead AI narrative development, drive go-to-market strategies, create engaging content, and collaborate across teams to enhance customer understanding and adoption of AI products.

How You’ll Make an Impact
As Product Marketing Manager for AI at Xero, you’ll lead the development and execution of a compelling, always-on communications narrative for AI that demonstrates how we’re helping small businesses and their advisors thrive through task automation and deeper financial insights. You’ll own the story and GTM plan that brings our AI customer value proposition to life.
Your role will focus on delivering a consistent drumbeat of AI innovation to market through thought leadership, tentpole moments like Xerocon and seasonal campaigns, content, and partner activations. You’ll ensure our messaging is both inspirational and grounded in real customer value, while contributing to the go-to-market plans of cross-product AI capabilities and strategic partnerships.
What You’ll Do
- Lead AI Communications Narrative & Thought Leadership
- Own and evolve the overarching AI narrative in conjunction with the coms team that positions Xero as a responsible, customer-centric innovator in AI for small business.
- Deliver a regular drumbeat of AI-focused content and campaigns, aligned with product delivery and communications goals.
- Collaborate with GTM teams, brand, digital, and comms teams to create AI content/thought leadership pieces, including blogs, customer stories, executive talking points, and media materials.
- Support the delivery of a AI research reports and surveys, working with insights and research partners to publish compelling, data-led content.
- Activate at Tentpole Moments
- Integrate AI messaging into high-impact moments in the calendar, including Xerocon, roadshows, EOFY/peak seasons, product milestones, and key regional events.
- Ensure AI innovations are positioned and launched with maximum visibility, relevance, and consistency across global and regional channels.
- Partner with events, brand, and customer teams to deliver unified and high-impact experiences at key moments.
- Drive GTM for Strategic AI Initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver the GTM plan for strategic AI partnerships, ensuring positioning, messaging, enablement, and customer comms are aligned and impactful.
- Support feature launches and AI capabilities across multiple products with coordinated internal and external communications.
- Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner closely with Product, Customer engagement, Data Science, Marketing, Brand, Communications, and Sales, Enablement teams to align messaging and coordinate campaign execution.
- Work with regional teams to adapt and activate the AI story in-market, ensuring local relevance and consistency.

- A clearly articulated, consistent, and inspiring AI narrative is present across channels and markets.
- AI activations and announcements land with high visibility and strong engagement at key tentpole moments.
- Customers and advisors understand and trust how Xero’s AI gives them more time and better insights — reflected in awareness, adoption, and satisfaction.
- A high-quality AI economic report is delivered and used as a key strategic asset across content and comms.
- Strategic AI partnerships are launched effectively, with clear value communicated to the market.
- Adoption and utilisation targets achieved for AI products.
What You’ll Bring With You
- 3+ years in product marketing, preferably in SaaS or tech.
- Proven experience delivering thought leadership, narrative development, or strategic comms programs.
- Experience launching cross-functional campaigns or partnerships at scale.
- Strong familiarity with working in or around data, AI, or emerging technologies
- Outstanding communicator and storyteller, able to translate complex tech into compelling, benefit-led narratives.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Confident collaborating with senior stakeholders and influencing across teams.
- Data-driven mindset with an ability to balance strategic vision with execution detail.
- A proactive, curious, and collaborative approach.
