Job Description:

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As an IT Quality Assurance Tester Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of DHS and OBIM.

  • Review and evaluate software products and/or systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards Lead/Manage/Support
  • Write and execute test plans using JIRA application
  • Engage with clients/users/stakeholders to define system scope and objectives
  • Provide support and technical advice throughout Agile sprint cycles
  • Validate enhancements to existing system in addition to coordinating with other QA/testing personnel and stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The IT Quality Assurance Tester Senior must have:

• Education: Technical Training, Certifications(s) or Degree

• Experience: 3+ years of related experience in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline

• Technical Skills:

  • Ability to learn new systems and create customized and/or automated test cases
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile project lifecycle approach to software development and testing
  • Experience in Jira to support configuration management in an Agile environment
  • Exposure to or ability to learn DevOps methodologies and solutions
  • Exposure to or ability to learn SQL and SQL*Plus

• Role Requirements:

  • Adept at problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, time management, multi-tasking, and task ownership
  • Excellent communication skills

• Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)

• US Citizenship Required

• Work Location: Any CONUS home/remote.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $105,570. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees. To ensure our employees are able to protect their income, other offerings such as short and long-term disability benefits, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance are provided or available.
