Senior Software Engineer - Sustainability

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our mission-driven team in the sustainability space. In this role, you will build and maintain cutting-edge solutions that drive environmental impact. As a full-stack engineer, you’ll work across our technology stack, with a preference for experience in TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes. You’ll contribute to scalable and resilient systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative software solutions. What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements

• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to understand and refine project requirements and ensure alignment with product vision and strategy

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices and coding standards

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and consistency

• Deliver and document team or group level technical solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated tests (unit, integration, functional, etc.) with Workiva solutions in mind to ensure software quality and reliability

• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple service and application contexts using tools and techniques appropriate for the problem

• Collaborate with support teams in triaging and resolving production issues to ensure customer satisfaction

• Participate in product discovery activities with customers and stakeholders to gain insights, validate hypotheses, and identify opportunities for innovation

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to identify problems, suggest solutions, and drive continuous improvement

• Mentor and coach other engineers both technically and culturally, providing guidance and support to help them grow and achieve their full potential

• Communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, using clear and concise language

What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience

• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and cloud-based distributed systems

• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Dart, TypeScript, Java, and/or Kotlin

• Experience with Spring Boot for backend development

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration

• Ability to debug complex systems or applications

• Experience providing technical guidance and supporting the growth of team members is a plus

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a focus on continuous improvement and delivery is preferred

• Experience with service-oriented architecture is a plus

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to different audiences

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to stay current on new technologies and best practices

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $111,000.00 - $178,000.00

✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
