Senior Software Engineer - Data and Insights

As a software engineer at Qualtrics, you will be building systems to help our customers both understand and respond to the experience data provided by their customers or employees. Designing systems in an agile environment to withstand hyper growth and owning quality from end to end is a rewarding challenge and one of the reasons Qualtrics is such an exciting place to work. We are looking for engineers to bring our predictive analytics to the next level. Our customers want to understand how certain data pieces impact key metrics for their success. We are building the analytical engine that enables advanced statistical capabilities required by our products. This role will be leveraging data, analytics and AI/ML to deliver that.

How You’ll Grow

  • As a Software Engineer at Qualtrics, you should love building simple solutions to solve hard customer use cases or engineering scalability problems, designing systems in an agile environment to withstand hyper growth and owning quality from end to end.
  • You will work with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes, and transform them into exciting platform features.

Things You’ll Do

  • Develop frameworks to perform analysis, particularly with the python data stack of numpy/pandas/pyarrow, that allow other developers to add new analyses quickly that are performant by default.
  • Develop APIs for analysis that can perform computations in real time.
  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance.
  • Work closely with and incorporate feedback from other engineers, tech-ops, and product managers.
  • Lead and engage in design reviews, architectural discussions, requirement definitions and other technical activities in diverse capacity.
  • Collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, complexity analysis, and performance.
  • Strong mathematical and/or computational background.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work both independently on ambiguous problems and in highly collaborative team environments.
  • Experience using JavaScript and Python.
  • Experience with continuous delivery, git, test automation and build/deploy systems.
  • Experience with technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered within this range may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer.
