In this role, you will translate business priorities, audience insights, and social media trends into compelling content across channels. A typical day may include concepting posts, building visual content systems, refining platform personas, collaborating with creative partners, and using performance signals to improve engagement.
The Senior Social Media Content Designer develops social-first creative that is tailored to each platform, audience, and content objective. This role brings together design craft, content strategy, brand voice, and social media best practices to create organic content that is engaging, accessible, and consistent. The position partners closely with social media strategists and business stakeholders to turn complex healthcare messages into clear and meaningful social experiences. By improving how Humana connects with people in the feed, this role helps members, patients, and communities engage with content that feels relevant, useful, and human.
Key Role Functions
Create bespoke, platform-native organic social content across formats such as static posts, carousels, short-form video concepts, stories, and social graphics
Use audience insights, platform behaviors, and performance data to design content that captures attention and drives meaningful interaction
Help establish and maintain personas, tone, and style systems for Humana’s social media accounts to ensure consistency across posts and campaigns
Partner with copywriters, designers, social strategists, and creative leadership to concept, develop, refine, and deliver high-quality social content
Apply current social media best practices, emerging trends, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines to improve engagement and content effectiveness

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in design, communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field
5+ years of experience in social media content design, content strategy, creative development, digital design, or a related discipline
Portfolio demonstrating social-first content across multiple platforms, including examples of platform-specific visual and/or written content
Experience applying brand, voice, tone, accessibility, and platform standards to organic social media content
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver content in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating organic social content for healthcare, insurance, wellness, financial services, or another regulated industry
Experience developing account personas, content pillars, recurring social formats, or social voice and tone systems
Working knowledge of social analytics and ability to translate performance insights into content recommendations
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, motion tools, or comparable creative software
Familiarity with paid social creative, influencer or creator content, employee advocacy, or integrated campaign development

Periodic in-office work may be required to support collaboration, key meetings, and leadership engagement. Remote options will be considered based on role needs and candidate experience
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
