The Product

Strata’s Maverics Platform unifies enterprise identity systems with both modern and legacy applications - without rewriting code - saving millions and accelerating transformation.

Now we’ve taken the next leap forward with our Agentic Identity Security product, the world’s first identity layer purpose-built for AI:

  • Guardrails that ensure AI agents act only within approved identity and access boundaries.
  • Governance that enforces enterprise policies and compliance across AI-driven workflows.
  • Observability that provides full visibility into how AI agents use identity, enabling trust, auditability, and resilience.

Strata’s Agentic Identity Orchestration product is designed to be super easy to evaluate and test using a self-service model (hybrid-PLG) and we charge by consumption - the more agents a customer secures the more they buy.

This isn’t incremental innovation — it’s foundational to making AI secure for the enterprise. And the market is validating it, fast.

The Role

Our distributed identity business is growing quickly and we are building an A-Team of Sales Engineers to be the primary technical resource for our sales and partner teams. Our SEs engage prospects and partners where they have the greatest need and meet that need with relevant content, education, and confident technical architectural advice.

We need your help!

This role is based in our Boulder Colorado office and you are expected to be in the office 4-5 days a week.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all technical aspects of the sales process.
  • Conduct impactful product demos, both remote and on-site.
  • Build and implement demo use cases, document them, and train others.
  • Assist in implementing Proof of Concepts (POCs), discovering requirements and dependencies, and driving hands-on implementation.
  • Discover prospects' requirements and whiteboard solutions with customer architectures.
  • Provide field insights to product management to enhance the Maverics platform.
  • Present Strata’s solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, from practitioners to C-level executives.
  • Travel as required when safe to do so.

  • Curiosity to understand and discover customer needs and priorities.
  • Passion for serving the customer and acting as a guide supporting our customers’ journey to multi-cloud.
  • Excellent communicator who can quickly understand customer needs and can present compelling tailored demos both remotely and in-person.
  • Be a compelling communicator who can present complex ideas live on the whiteboard.

Experience

  • 7+ years experience in pre-sales engineering for an enterprise software company
  • Knowledge of on-premises identity (SiteMinder, OAM, ClearTrust, Ping, ForgeRock) and cloud identity (AzureAD, Okta, Google, and AWS)
  • Experience in standard network security protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, and OIDC)
  • Hands on experience coding
  • Understanding of enterprise identity infrastructure and core security concerns of cloud and on-premises environments 
  • Solid experience with HTTP, Web application architectures, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with JavaScript, GoLang, Linux, networking, web and app servers

Compensation and Location

  • $150,000 -$180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
  • 30% Variable
