We are seeking a Senior Sales Account Executive to accelerate Sales of Bellwood’s Software Custom Software Development Services in the small and mid-market business Market segment.

These companies are typically thriving businesses outside of the traditional software industry - they need to build new technology to scale their business, or want to establish new software products to complement their primary business.

This role will identify strong prospective clients and establish relationships with them, then work with the Bellwood Leadership and Delivery Team to build trust and earn the business opportunity to build the software they need.

This role is a critical building block for the company to move beyond founder-led sales and fuel future growth.

This role will be selling high-quality services with an engaged and talented team that is building a scaled culture of excellence.

Qualifications

Essential skills:

  • Developing sales strategies and executing activities to consistently meet or exceed sales quota, this is a hunter sales role with extremely limited support from inbound leads
  • Identify prospects within Bellwood’s ideal customer profile, conduct multi-channel outreach to schedule appointments, conduct effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business 
  • Must be able to establish trust with business owners and key executives, empathetically understand their technology goals, and facilitate the transfer of that trust to a solutions team
  • Proficient at utilizing sales automation and pipeline management tools with prospect-specific customizations to earn the attention of decision makers. 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying strong prospective clients based on identified ideal customer profiles, patterns of past company engagements, and market trends
  • Develop outbound sales processes that lead to a predictable standard of qualified leads, the success of this role will be measured by the number of qualified discovery meetings scheduled and the resulting revenue closed
  • Tailor solutions to meet the prospects' pain points
  • Prepare concise and accurate proposals for prospective clients
  • Use CRM to update, track, and maintain daily activity and all relevant contact, company, and opportunity information
  • Effectively manage pipeline including accurate monthly, 90 day, and 120 day forecasts
  • Coordinate with marketing about feedback on leads that are received, and inform marketing of common questions that are raised in the sales cycle to build content that helps answer those questions to generate future leads

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a proven track record of closing deals and meeting sales goals
  • Has 5+ years of quota carrying sales experience, with 3+ years of experience selling high-quality, U.S. based software development consulting services, ideally with a focus on developing complex software products and mobile applications
  • Is passionate about helping others with their software technology needs and is passionate about the craft of sales.
  • Understands the distinct value and roles of Software Developers, UX/UI Design, and Product Management
  • Is organized and methodical with strong prioritization and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with prospects, customers, and internal teams
  • A coachable and curious mindset able to take feedback coupled with a strong desire to learn
  • A strong worth ethic and goal-oriented competitive attitude that intends to win
  • Can travel to clients, prospects, and trade shows up to 25% of the time

Compensation for this role is a base salary as well as a significant commission opportunity.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires mandatory travel to attend two key company-wide events annually. These events are essential for our organizational goals and provide valuable opportunities for team engagement and collaboration. The company will arrange and cover all travel and accommodation expenses. Additional travel related to the role may also be required.
