We’re looking to expand our team across the board.

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager who will be supporting the design and creation of these aerospace technologies. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining scheduling, cost, and technical performance throughout each program.  The PM will be expected to coordinate and prepare budgets, proposals, and business plans as well as creating and executing contracts. The PM will be the primary contact for these daily operations as well as being directly responsible for building networking relationships within the industry to continue company growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as York’s primary program point of contact with the customer, ensuring open lines of communication and adherence to scope of work.
  • Work cross-functionally with the York Contracts, Supply Chain, SV Engineering, SW Engineering, Production, Finance to deliver on schedule against contractual commitments, and be able to effectively communicate these workstreams to York senior leadership and the customer.
  • When contract changes are requested by the customer, clearly communicate scope, schedule, and price impacts of requested contract changes.
  • Potentially manage multiple programs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify all internal/external risks to the Program, and communicate the risks and mitigants to York’s senior leadership team.
  • Coordinate with customers on proposal work, contracts, reviews, and technical performance.
  • Engage with customers effectively through strong presentation and interpersonal skills, and have the ability and judgement to understand when to potentially push back on customer demands.
  • Primary program type will be full lifecycle of satellite development from initial proposal, through payload integration, to launch.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in engineering, science or a related technical field.  A business degree is acceptable with aerospace or production experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience as a program manager.
  • Demonstrates self-initiated work in a team environment with strong leadership skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
