About the Team

The Workday Platform Go-To-Market & Portfolio Strategy product marketing team is the engine behind Workday's platform business. We exist to convert platform strategy into business growth, through sharp positioning, field-ready enablement, and go-to-market execution that accelerates pipeline and drives adoption across Workday's fastest-growing innovation offerings, including Workday Extend, Workday Build and emerging innovations such as Developer Agent and Agent-Ready Tools.
We work closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to bring new platform capabilities to market and ensure that technological innovation translates into sharp positioning, field-ready enablement, and programs that drive awareness and adoption.

About the Role

Workday's Build platform is at the center of how enterprises extend, automate, and evolve their Workday investment. It is the toolset empowering orgs to build and deploy custom apps and agents, and operationalize AI within their existing enterprise environment, securely, and at scale.

As Product Marketing Manager on the Platform GTM & Portfolio Strategy team, you ensure that oCIO buyers, enterprise IT decision-makers, net new prospects, and existing customers all encounter the same credible, compelling platform story — whether that's in a field conversation, a demand gen asset, or a launch moment. You establish the messaging, build the assets, run the programs, and make sure the story lands in the field as clearly as it does on a slide.

You will partner closely with product, technical PMK, developer relations, and GTM teams and operate in close coordination with campaign and field marketing to ensure platform programs reach the right audiences with the right message at the right moment.
This is a high-impact, highly visible role designed for a product marketer who combines commercial instinct with the operational discipline to execute across a fast-moving, high-stakes platform portfolio.
You will be responsible for:
1. Messaging, Positioning & Value Proposition

Support messaging and positioning across the Workday Build platform portfolio — maintaining narrative consistency across launches, field assets, and demand gen programs. You bring a point of view to messaging decisions and craft a compelling narrative that resonates with our buyers.

2. Product Launches & Adoption

Lead the full launch motion and bring new capabilities to market in support of sales-led GTM motions — setting the strategy, managing the cross-functional plan, and owning outcomes end-to-end.

3. Demand Generation & Pipeline Acceleration

Own the conceptualization and execution of demand gen content to support active campaign and field programs for Workday Build and Extend — in collaboration with campaign and regional marketing teams. You are proactive about identifying content gaps and bring a clear point of view on what moves buyers in this highly competitive and ever evolving platform space.

4. Field Enablement & Activation

Drive field enablement and activate specialized sellers with the materials they need to confidently position the platform across net new and customer base conversations — including talk tracks, pitch materials, objection handling guides, FAQs, pricing and packaging guides, and demos. You build this in close collaboration with the Technical PMK team.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 4–8 years in product marketing or a closely adjacent GTM function.

Other Qualifications

  • You don't need deep platform experience on day one but you need to be the kind of person who closes that gap fast and doesn't need to be coached to do it. Experience in enterprise SaaS, developer tools, or data products gives you a head start.

  • You are high agency by nature. You spot what needs doing and go after it without waiting to be assigned the work, handed a complete brief, or told the process. Ownership is innate within you, you make things happen and always follow through.

  • You hold multiple contexts without losing precision. You can shift from a launch asset to a demand gen program to a field enablement update in the same week and continuously raise the bar for the team.

  • You are operationally strong and self-directing. You track your own deliverables, manage review cycles without being chased, and surface blockers before they become problems.

  • You are genuinely curious about platform and developer tools and comfortable operating without a complete map. You close knowledge gaps before they show up in your work and make reasonable calls in ambiguity rather than waiting for perfect information.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
