What We’re Building
Honeycomb is a service for the near and present future, defining observability and raising expectations of what developer tools can do! We’re working with well known companies like HelloFresh, Slack, LaunchDarkly, and Vanguard and more across a range of industries. This is an exciting time in our trajectory, we’ve closed Series D funding, scaled past the 200-person mark, and were named to Forbes’ America’s Best Startups of 2022 and 2023!

If you want to see what we’ve been up to, please check out these blog posts and Honeycomb.io press releases.

Who We Are
We come for the impact, and stay for the culture! We’re a talented, opinionated, passionate, fiercely inclusive, and responsible group of bees. We have conviction and we strive to live our values every day. We want our people to do what they truly love amongst a team of highly talented (but humble) peers.

How We Work
We are a fully distributed company, which means we believe it is not where you sit, but how you deliver that matters most. We invest in our people and care about how you orient to our culture and processes. At the same time we imbue a lot of trust, autonomy, and accountability from Day 1. #LI-Remote

Little more about the team:

With AI, the new constraint is not how fast teams can ship. It is how fast they can learn, and observability is the system that determines that learning speed. As LLM features and agentic systems reach production, teams need to debug behavior that cannot be explained by averages alone. This role helps turn AI from a black box into something measurable, understandable, and continuously improvable.

How AI shows up in the product and in this job

Honeycomb helps teams debug LLM and agent behavior with full request level context, including prompt and model, tokens, latency, cost, and input shape, so they can compare good versus bad outcomes and fix issues quickly. Honeycomb Intelligence accelerates investigations by bringing AI into the workflow, with Canvas for AI assisted investigations and the MCP Server connecting agents like Claude Code and Cursor to Honeycomb’s observability data.

What you’ll do in the role:

You will own product marketing for Honeycomb’s LLM and agent observability motion. You will help engineering and platform teams understand why this is mission critical, how to adopt it, and how Honeycomb is differentiated.

Responsibilities

  • Positioning and messaging: Create clear, technically accurate positioning for LLM and agent observability, including prompts, models, tools, tokens, latency, cost, and reliability, and make it resonate with both engineers and executive stakeholders.
  • GTM strategy and launches: Lead go to market plans and launch packages, including assets, web copy, sales plays, and enablement, in close partnership with Product, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success. Connect product capabilities to real customer outcomes.
  • Technical storytelling: Produce high signal content such as solution briefs, demos, enablement, blogs, and talks that translate deep technical concepts into clear business value and practical adoption guidance.
  • Market and competitive intelligence: Track the fast moving LLM and agent ecosystem and competitive moves. Equip the field with differentiation and win themes that stay grounded in customer reality.
  • Voice of customer: Build feedback loops with early adopters and champions. Turn learnings into proof points, stronger messaging, and actionable input for the roadmap.
  • AI native workflow narrative: Tell the story of how Honeycomb brings insight directly into where engineers work, using Honeycomb Intelligence, Canvas, and the MCP Server, with integrations into tools and agents like Claude and Cursor.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 5 plus years in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, developer facing products, or technical platforms.
  • Experience going deep on LLM and agent concepts such as tool use, orchestration, RAG, model and prompt versioning, and evaluation signals, and explaining them in a simple, credible way.
  • Demonstrated ability to build differentiated messaging, enablement, and launch programs across technical and business audiences.
  • Strong cross functional leadership with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success, acting as the connector that turns market insight into execution.

Nice to have

    • Experience marketing observability, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, platform engineering, or reliability and SLO practices.
    • Comfortable with building community and thought leadership through talks, webinars, and  other content.
Base Salary based on level of experience
$190,000$225,000 USD
