Dash0 is hiring a Senior Product Engineer for the Darkplane team. I know the market is rough right now — if you're exploring what's next, I wanted to reach out before we even post the role.

Darkplane is our platform for engineering teams to reimagine the software development lifecycle in the era of AI. As coding agents write more of the code that ships, the hard part moves downstream: reviewing that code, deciding when it can be trusted, and automating the safe path to merge. And more importantly: learning from production issues and making the AI SDLC more reliable every day. Darkplane works at the intersection of Agentic Engineering and Developer Experience.

You will work where agentic frameworks, code sandboxes, and application runtimes meet. Part of the job is backend and platform engineering: the ingest pipelines, the evaluation runtime, the data model. The other part is product: deciding what to build, understanding what customers actually need to adopt agentic development, and turning a fast-moving idea about where this is all going into something people rely on.

• Build and evolve Darkplane, working primarily in TypeScript/Node.js, with Go across our control-plane and analytics services.

• Design and harden how we run untrusted code and how we help customers adopting AI in SDLC safely

• Partner with AI engineers to make agentic workflows reliable and fast in production, supplying the software-engineering depth that keeps LLM-driven evaluation predictable.

• Shape the developer experience of agentic engineering: the workflows, feedback loops, and guardrails that make AI-authored code trustworthy and quick to ship.

• Make product calls. Talk to customers, understand how their teams adopt agentic workflows, and use that plus a read on the business to decide what matters and what to cut.

• Co-own stability. Find technical risk early, and keep our own observability signals strong enough that we catch problems before customers do.

• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js and Go. Or the ability to quickly pick it up using state-of-the-art coding agents.

• A strong grasp of distributed systems and what it takes to keep them reliable in production.

• Sound data-modeling instincts across relational (Postgres) and analytical (ClickHouse or similar) stores.

• Experience building or operating agentic AI systems, LLM pipelines, or code sandbox environments.

• Proven experience owning and ideating end2end on the product, including frontend development

• Real curiosity about the customer. You want to know how engineering teams work, and you make product decisions from that understanding and a feel for the business, not from a backlog handed to you.

• Curiosity about where agentic software development is heading, and interest in the practical question of how companies actually adopt it.

• Fluency with AI and agentic coding tools, paired with the judgment to know when to trust them and when not to.

• Clear communication and a habit of writing things down. You work independently and keep the team in the loop.

• Familiarity with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem or observability tooling.

• Experience with building Analytical and experimentation platforms

• Feeling comfortable mentoring more junior co-workers
