Job Description:

Perkins Coie is searching for a Senior Practices & Sectors Specialist to manage the execution of strategic marketing and business development initiatives across designated practice groups and industry sectors.

The Senior Practices & Sectors Specialist will partner closely with Strategists, Administrators, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused initiatives aligned with firm goals.

This role is suited for a highly organized and proactive professional who can independently manage projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and provide critical support across content, campaigns, and client initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.

Project Management & Execution

  • Manage and support workstreams tied to annual marketing and business development plans.

  • Coordinate execution of initiatives including pitches, client events, campaigns, and collateral development.

  • Monitor timelines and ensure alignment with practice and sector goals; proactively communicate status and resolve issues.

  • Make operational decisions and recommendations for improvements to continuously improve marketing and business development processes and procedures.

Content & Collateral Development

  • Develop marketing collateral and submission content in connection with practice and sector Strategists.

  • Maintain accurate, updated practice and sector materials in collaboration with design, content, and pursuits teams.  

Campaigns & Events

  • Support the planning and delivery of webinars, events, and targeted outreach campaigns.

  • Track engagement metrics, ROI, compile post-event summaries, and recommend process improvements in collaboration with the data and analytics team.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned practices and sectors; liaise with lawyers, Strategists, and other business services staff.

  • Participate in regular meetings with practice teams and assist with follow-ups, reporting, and implementation of priorities.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Coordinate research on clients, competitors, and industry trends to inform strategy and outreach.

Technology & Process Support

  • Leverage marketing technology platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Foundation) to manage contacts, experience, track activity, and generate reports.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and documentation related to marketing operations.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

  • Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the firm’s attendance expectations.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently prioritize and execute tasks.

  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience producing high-quality client-facing materials and coordinating multi-part projects.

  • Proactive and resourceful, with a service-oriented mindset and attention to detail.

SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and/or KM tools (e.g., Foundation) is a plus.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, business development, or administrative support, preferably in professional services.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • MS Office Suite

  • Marketing technology including Salesforce, Foundation

This position may be filled in the following location(s). The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity. 

Colorado compensation range: $71,470 to $106,190 annually 

Illinois compensation range: $75,430 to $112,080 annually 

New York compensation range: $82,930 to $123,220 annually 

Washington state compensation range: $75,390 to $112,020 annually
