Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll Lead to join our Oracle HCM Managed Services consulting practice. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide functional leadership and day-to-day production support for Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll functional lead and subject matter expert (SME) for assigned managed services clients.
  • Provide day-to-day functional support for Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll production environments.
  • Support clients throughout the complete payroll processing cycle, including:
    • Pre-payroll validation
    • Payroll flow execution and monitoring
    • Calculation and costing validation
    • Payroll results review
    • Payments and payment-related processes
    • Payroll reconciliation
    • Post-payroll activities
  • Analyze and resolve payroll processing issues, including calculation discrepancies, balance issues, costing issues, retro-pay issues, and payroll flow errors.
  • Investigate payroll issues by analyzing elements, balances, Fast Formulas, payroll relationships, assignments, costing, and payroll results.
  • Support payroll corrections, adjustments, reversals, balance adjustments, retroactive calculations, and other production payroll requirements.
  • Monitor payroll processing activities and proactively identify issues that could affect payroll deadlines.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including tax reporting, W-2 and W-2C processes, balancing, and year-end configuration changes, as applicable.
  • Support legislative and regulatory updates and assess their impact on client payroll processing.
  • Participate in Oracle quarterly cloud releases, including impact assessments, regression testing, defect identification, and client communications.
  • Provide functional support for client enhancements and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reduce recurring incidents, and automate manual activities.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex payroll issues and provide recommendations to clients and internal delivery teams.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with payroll, HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders.
  • Be comfortable providing hands-on support for live payroll processing, rather than serving solely in an advisory capacity.
  • Experience with, or understanding of, the OBBBA solution in Oracle Fusion Payroll is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Oracle HCM experience, including strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion Payroll processing and configuration.
  • Proven experience supporting live, production Oracle Fusion Payroll environments.
  • Experience supporting managed services clients.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll flows, payroll elements, balances, Fast Formulas, costing, retro-pay, and payment processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex payroll processing issues.
  • Experience performing payroll reconciliation and payroll variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of integrations between Payroll and Core HR, Time and Labor, Benefits, Finance/General Ledger, banking, and third-party systems.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Payroll quarterly updates and regression testing.
  • Experience supporting multiple clients or business units is highly desirable.
  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple client issues, and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Experience working with offshore and onshore consulting teams.
