Lead demand generation across US and Europe, own martech stack (HubSpot, WordPress), run integrated campaigns, manage external partners, optimize marketing KPIs and events, and drive pipeline growth through lead nurturing and attribution.
The summary above was generated by AI

eSmart Systems is a leading provider of AI-powered services and solutions for the inspection and maintenance of critical energy infrastructure. With our Grid Vision® solutions, we revolutionize how power utilities operate and maintain their transmission and distribution networks, which is critical to a more sustainable future.  Our technology is trusted by 85+ utilities worldwide and has supported the inspection of more than 375,000 km of transmission and distribution lines and 45,000 substations.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our growing team. You will own the delivery of our demand generation programs across our two priority markets — the US and Europe — and the martech stack that powers them, including our CRM (HubSpot) and CMS (WordPress), with the objective of enabling our commercial teams to grow and support the sales pipeline.

This is a broad, hands-on role in a small team: you'll run programs end to end while directing external partners on design, website, and tactical digital delivery.  This is a US-based role and reports to the VP Market Development (Boulder, CO). This can either be a remote or hybrid position working from our Boulder, Colorado office, with an estimated 10% travel across North America.

What will you be doing?

  • Planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns across the US and European markets, with a focus on lead generation and upselling to existing accounts, including managing advertising spend and budgets.
  • Working closely with VP of Market Development on marketing strategy and Go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborating with global cross-functional teams to create and distribute content — blogs, webinars, case studies, white papers, and email sequences — to the right audience at the right time.
  • Managing our marketing partner ecosystem (design, website, tactical digital delivery): briefing, quality control, timelines, and spend against outcomes.
  • Building and owning the campaign lifecycle in HubSpot, from setup through the email automation and nurture journey, delivering segmented and well-sequenced customer experiences
  • Responsibility for the martech stack and the integrations between tools, including applying AI capabilities within it — automation, data enrichment, reporting, agentic workflows — where they measurably improve speed, quality, or cost.
  • Owning the marketing KPIs — traffic, conversion, engagement, and funnel progression — and reporting performance with a strong focus on actionable insights, attribution, and return on both budget and time invested.
  • Owning our conference and event plan across both markets in partnership with the Commercial team — selecting the right events, managing the sponsorship plan and budget, coordinating booth and logistics, and driving speaking engagements including abstract submissions, deadlines, and speaker preparation.

How your success will be measured (Year One):

  • Growth in marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline across the US and European markets
  • Improved conversion and funnel progression from traffic through MQL to sales-accepted opportunity
  • Demonstrable return on event and sponsorship investment, measured by pipeline contribution

Skills and experience needed:

  • Our team is lean, so we need a solid, hands-on, subject matter expert, with 7+ years' B2B marketing experience; real depth in digital, ideally marketing SaaS or AI products in a start-up or scale-up environment
  • Familiarity with the energy and utility market (or similar) is strongly preferred: someone who already understands long sales cycles, technical and engineering buyers, regulated procurement, and asset-owner audiences
  • Proven success with briefing and managing external agencies, freelancers, or delivery partners — getting on-brand, on-time output from people who don't report to you
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to run multiple projects and stakeholders (internal and external) independently
  • Experience marketing to both US and European audiences across time zones
  • You use AI as a force multiplier without letting quality slip — curious enough to experiment, disciplined enough to protect our voice, commercial enough to know which tools earn their place
  • Proficiency with CRM and CMS platforms (preferably HubSpot and WordPress) and ABM tools, including lead nurturing and marketing automation across multiple regions
  • A rounded, multi-channel view — PPC, SEO/GEO, content, social, video, web, and CRM — with proven results running integrated campaigns
  • Ability to travel as required for industry events, partner engagements, customer meetings, and internal meetings

Who are we looking for?

You are a hands-on self-starter: quality-oriented, data-driven, results-focused, and happy to work as part of a small and ambitious team. In a team this size, breadth matters more than specialism: you are comfortable moving between strategy, execution, and briefing and quality-controlling external partners in the same week. You know where to invest time and budget — and where to say no.

What’s in it for you?

This is a role for someone ready to take their marketing career to the next level. If you enjoy short decision times and agile working methods, this role could be for you — and its scope is expected to grow in line with the marketing function itself. If you have an interest in AI and machine learning, this is an opportunity for you to work on industry-leading solutions that deliver critical services to make the energy sector more safe, affordable and sustainable.

What We Offer:

  • Company bonus scheme — 10% of base salary at target
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions
  • Healthcare, dental and vision benefits
  • 4 weeks annual vacation
  • Access to paid parental leave (permanent full-time employees become eligible after 18 months)
  • Opportunity to shape the future of energy infrastructure
  • A passionate mission-driven team and a collaborative culture.

In compliance with applicable US pay transparency laws, including Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, pay for this position is anticipated to be between US$100,000 and US$125,000. Actual offers will be based on the applicant's skills, experience, and education.
