WorldStrides is the global leader in educational travel and experiential learning. The company was founded in 1967 to provide middle school travel programs to Washington, D.C. and has grown to provide a wide range of programs for more than half a million students annually to over 100 countries around the world. WorldStrides offers experiential learning programs in educational travel, performing arts, language immersion, career exploration, service-learning, study abroad, and sports. Each of these experiences helps students to see beyond the classroom and to see the world – and themselves – in new ways.
Job Description:
WorldStrides' website is our most important marketing asset — and it is underperforming as a lead generation tool. As Senior Manager of Website Content, you will own the content strategy and execution across worldstrides.com and all program sub-sites, transforming them into high-performing, SEO-driven, conversion-optimized destinations for educators, students, and parents. You will bring together editorial strategy, SEO expertise, UX sensibility, and project management rigor to build a website content engine that drives organic traffic, captures leads, and tells the WorldStrides story at every stage of the funnel.
Responsibilities:
Website Content Strategy
- Own the website content strategy across worldstrides.com and all program pages — from homepage messaging to destination content to conversion landing pages
- Develop a segment-specific content architecture for K-12 Domestic, International, and Performing Arts that reflects each audience's distinct decision journey
- Audit, prioritize, and systematically update existing content to improve quality, accuracy, SEO performance, and brand consistency
SEO & Organic Traffic Growth
- Own the SEO strategy — keyword research, content gap analysis, on-page optimization, and internal linking architecture
- Build an editorial content calendar that supports organic search growth through destination guides, trip planning resources, and educator-focused content
- Partner with Sr Manager, Paid Media to ensure landing pages convert paid traffic efficiently
CMS Management & Execution
- Manage the CMS day-to-day — publishing, updating, and A/B testing content across the site
- Collaborate with Creative & Production on photography, video, and design assets for the site
- Work with IT/Development on content improvements and UX enhancements
- Maintain content governance — ensuring all published content is on-brand, accurate, and current
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Organic search traffic growing quarter-over-quarter across all program areas
- Website MQL conversion rate improving through content optimization and CRO
- All program pages meeting brand and SEO quality standards within 6 months
- Bounce rate and time-on-site improving across key landing pages
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of website content strategy, digital content, or SEO experience
- Demonstrated ability to own a website content program end-to-end from strategy to execution
- Strong SEO expertise including technical SEO fundamentals, keyword research, and content optimization
- Experience managing a CMS such as WordPress, Contentful, or similar platforms
- Excellent writing and editing skills — you produce compelling, on-brand content yourself
- Analytical — you use GA4, Search Console, and content performance data to make decisions
- Experience in education, travel, or destination marketing content (preferred)
- UX or CRO background — you have run A/B tests and interpreted user behavior data (preferred)
- Familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot for understanding web-to-CRM lead flow (preferred)
Work Perks
- Comprehensive health benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, accident, critical illness, disability insurance, FSA/HSA options with employer HSA contributions, and a generous 401(k) match.
- Generous paid time off including 11 paid company holidays, 25 PTO days the first year (prorated), 1 paid volunteer day, 4 mental health days, and bereavement
- Professional development support, including up to $5,250 annually for tuition reimbursement and up to $1,000 for certifications annually
- Opportunities for paid and discounted travel
- Flexible work schedule providing on-site, remote, and hybrid office opportunities
- Encouraged participation in a wide variety of Employee Resource Groups
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness resources, including fitness centers at select locations
- Paid parental, caregiver, and disability leave
- Team Member Discount Program
- Engaging, collaborative, and fun work environment
