Job Description
About the role:
The Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives serves as an embedded strategist to the Chief of Staff and SVP, partnering on the organization’s highest-priority business initiatives and executive decisions. This role architect's executive-ready presentations, strategic business narratives, and decision materials that translate complex business challenges into clear recommendations and actionable plans.
Success in this role requires exceptional strategic thinking, structured problem solving, executive judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes across a global organization.
What you will do:
Executive Deliverables:
- Develop executive-ready presentations, business narratives, and decision materials.
- Translate complex information into concise, structured recommendations that accelerate executive decision-making.
- Ensure all strategic deliverables are grounded in data, business insight, and clear recommendations.
Business Strategy & Analysis:
- Structure ambiguous business challenges into clear analytical workstreams and actionable recommendations by defining project objectives, success metrics, governance, and executive decision points.
- Build hypotheses, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, and synthesize findings into executive insights.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Support high-impact initiatives spanning organizational effectiveness, operating model evolution, planning, AI transformation, and business growth.
- Drive initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable outcomes.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Influence senior leaders across marketing, sales, operations, finance, and product teams.
- Build alignment across competing priorities while driving accountability for execution.
- Facilitate executive working sessions that result in clear decisions and action plans.
What you bring:
- 6+ years of strategy experience, with at least 3 years supporting a VP level or above executive on high visibility deliverables. Prior experience at a top tier management consulting firm, corporate strategy team, or similarly rigorous analytical environment is a strong plus.
- Exceptional writing and ability to create clear, direct, and adaptable business narratives across registers, from a concise executive summary to an extended structured document to a full board level presentation.
- Ability to translate an executive's priorities and voice into clear, structured formats
- Strong analytical judgment: you can identify what a deliverable is really trying to say and cut everything else without being asked
- Experience operating in global marketing organizations; familiarity with enterprise B2B context is strongly preferred
- Executive presence and the composure to represent findings directly to senior leaders, including in moments of scrutiny or disagreement
What success looks like in year one:
- The SVP never faces a major internal or external moment without a polished, ready deliverable in hand
- Every major deliverable, whether an internal leadership update, a cross functional forum, a customer event, or an external stage, is prepared weeks in advance with a fully developed presentation, supporting data, and structure, and has been pressure tested for gaps before it reaches its audience.
- Builds trusted relationships across senior leadership and becomes a go-to partner for solving complex business challenges.
