Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced leader to join our team as the Senior Manager of Program Management for Cross-Functional Projects, focused on, but not restricted to ERP, LES, MES, B2B, Integration, and upgrade initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful execution and delivery of programs/projects from preparation to go-live support, including handover to the support teams, as well as building and developing a program management team and framework for execution and continuous improvement.
The Program Management and Industrial Solutions is a part of the larger Magna Information Technology team that focuses on providing value to our internal customers, in a fee-for-service approach, through application service delivery, project management, and best practice / process analysis.
Major Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute a program management strategy aligned with the organization's overall objectives, focusing on but not restricted to ERP, LES, MES, B2B, Integration, and upgrade initiatives.
  • Expectation Management: Ensuring effective communication channels are established to manage expectations between Magna Groups/Magna Divisions and different MIT teams in different regions. This includes setting clear goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Financial Management: Build a business plan and annual budget for the Program Management team and ownership of the portfolio of programs. Ensure fiscal responsibility for the department and projects through P&L reviews.
  • Develop and implement a program management structure, including establishing standardized processes, tools, and frameworks for effective program management; based on the MIT PMO.
  • Vendor Management and Vendor Selection: Conducting a thorough evaluation and selection process to choose vendors that align with the organization's strategic goals, requirements, and values. This includes assessing their capabilities, experience, financial stability, and reputation.
  • Program Oversight: Oversee the planning, implementation, and delivery of cross-functional projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and meet the desired quality standards. Ensuring processes exist to support and measure risk management, budget and resource allocation, escalation processes and management reporting/documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing program management team by attracting, hiring, and retaining talented professionals. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to ensure their professional growth and success.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders across departments, domains, and business units to understand their requirements and expectations, and to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and lessons learned, optimizing program management processes and driving organizational efficiency.

Knowledge and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10 years' experience in program management in the automotive industry, preferably with cross-functional projects in ERP, LES, MES, B2B and other domains.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale programs from initiation to completion.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to drive operational improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
  • Proactively assess and resolve risk, conflicts, and escalations in projects
  • Identify and understand the underlying issues causing any conflict. Analyzing the situation, considering multiple perspectives, and finding mutually beneficial solutions are essential problem-solving skills
  • Minimum: English as a second living language required

Work Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in Tier-1 Automotive Industry is a strong plus.

Work Environment
Regular overnight travel: 20 - 40% of the time
