The Role:

As the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy and positioning of our products. You will lead a team of Product Marketing Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing product marketing strategies, driving go-to-market initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve our business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Product Marketing Managers.
    • Provide guidance on individual career development and set team goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  2. Product Strategy:
    • Develop a deep understanding of our products, target audience, and market trends.
    • Work with the team to define product positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
    • Collaborate with Product Managers to influence product roadmaps based on market insights.
  3. Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Lead the development of go-to-market plans for product launches and updates.
    • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product launches.
    • Drive product adoption through effective messaging and positioning.
  4. Market Research:
    • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
    • Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for product improvements.
  5. Content Development:
    • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, including product datasheets, case studies, and whitepapers.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing materials.
  6. Sales Enablement:
    • Work closely with Sales teams to provide them with the tools and knowledge needed to sell our products effectively.
    • Develop sales training materials and support product training sessions.
  7. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics.
    • Provide regular reports on the success of marketing campaigns and product initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in product marketing, with a track record of success.
  • 5 years of experience in team leadership or management roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Software Developer, SDLC knowledge is a plus.
  • Good ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • Must be a strong writer and public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proven record of building strong PMM practice and processes.
  • Passion for technology and the software industry and detailed understanding.
  • We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.

Your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, along with its relationship to the base salaries of current team members at Sauce Labs that are similarly situated.
