We're looking for a results-oriented performance marketing leader to own how people find us across our family of products: Everand, Fable, and Scribd. Reporting to our Director of Growth, you'll set strategy across paid and organic discovery, leading a team of channel experts across paid search, paid social, affiliate, SEO, and LLMs to build an efficient, profitable acquisition engine across all three brands.

Responsibilities
  • Own strategy across paid and organic discovery: paid search, paid social, affiliate, SEO, and how we show up in LLM-driven search, setting that strategy in alignment with product and brand marketers. Allocate budget across performance channels to drive growth.

  • Manage and develop the team of channel owners, fostering a culture of learning and performance.

  • Lead attribution and reporting across paid and organic channels, using data-driven insights to reallocate spend and optimize return on investment continuously.

  • Partner with brand marketers on integrated campaigns, pairing brand storytelling with performance channels to drive awareness and acquisition together.

  • Work with creative to produce assets that drive strong engagement and conversion.

  • Test new and emerging channels beyond this core set, looking for market opportunities we haven't yet captured.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience running performance marketing channels, managing meaningful paid budgets in-house at a B2C company.

  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.

  • Strong understanding of best practices in digital marketing, particularly paid search, paid social, and affiliate. Working knowledge of SEO and LLM visibility.

  • Strong command of marketing unit economics and financial concepts such as LTV/CAC, with a solid understanding of marketing attribution and incrementality. Experience with Media Mix Modeling (MMM) is a plus.

  • Experience owning or evaluating marketing technology, such as ad management, SEO monitoring, or attribution tooling.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and apply data insights.

  • Comfortable using AI tools in everyday marketing work, from testing and reporting to creative production.

  • Solid understanding of creative best practices, with experience collaborating between marketing buying and creative teams.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working across a multi-brand portfolio.

  • Customer-obsessed mindset.

At Scribd, Inc., your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States.

 

In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $136,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $211,000 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].

 

In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $112,500 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $200,000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].

 

In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $143,500 CAD [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $180,000 CAD [maximum salary in our highest geographic market].

 

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership, and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
