Job Description Template

Location: Remote position in US (Western States Preferred).

As a Sales Leader in our Mid-Market West team, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, coaching and mentoring the sales team, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. You will work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to align sales objectives with overall business goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years of proven success mentoring and coaching

  • Experience closing complex deals that are at least $300k or greater (including multiple stakeholders, geographies, multiple departments). 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to use sales data to drive decision-making.

  • Ability to interpret and penetrate market through a multi-pronged and multi-routed sales approach

  • Results-oriented and target-driven mindset.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 30-40% travel required

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.

  • Set clear performance expectations and sales targets for team members and monitor their progress.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and analysis, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging teamwork and a customer-centric mindset.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and sales operating systems to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities and potential risks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives, channel workstreams, and product development plans.

  • Set sales quotas and targets for individuals and the team, and monitor performance against these goals.

Sales Operations and Process Improvement:

  • Implement and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective measures to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Maintain connections to and influence within channel partner organizations and affiliate technology partners to enhance coverage and penetration of territories

  • Leverage AI tools to inform outreach strategies, sales approach, sales performance management, and partnership dynamics

Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and sales results.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.

  • Coordinate and organize workstreams within internal RevOps partnerships

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$138,400.00 - $243,400.00
