About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Content Marketing to help us create and scale Motive’s storytelling engine. This person will lead strategy and execution across multiple formats—reports, guides, SEO articles, AIO/AEO/LLM content, customer stories, blogs, and more—and ensure everything we publish connects to our brand voice, resonates with target audiences, and drives measurable results.

You will lead a small team of stellar storytellers and collaborate closely with PR, product marketing, brand, design, and digital/web teams to develop full-funnel content programs that elevate Motive’s brand awareness and fuel growth.
This isn’t just a writing role. You will be responsible for creating and testing new, innovative ways to deliver content, experimenting with new formats, and increasing the impact Motive content has on the business.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and own content strategy for key audience segments and verticals, aligning with company and campaign goals.
  • Create and manage high-quality content—including blogs, thought leadership pieces, reports, guides, and campaign assets—that build brand authority and generate pipeline.
  • Leverage AI-powered content tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and deep research methodologies to produce high-quality, scalable content efficiently.
  • Act as reviewer and editor for all marketing materials, ensuring compelling, error-free copy across all channels, while helping team members elevate their writing.
  • Evaluate current review processes and make adjustments to accelerate time-to-publish without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts, product marketers, customer marketing, and the creative/design/video teams to turn complex ideas into compelling stories.
  • Optimize content performance by leveraging SEO insights, analytics, and A/B testing to increase reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Lead editorial planning—own the content calendar, manage freelancers or agencies, and maintain consistency across all channels.
  • Support storytelling innovation, exploring new formats (podcasts, video, interactive content) to engage audiences across platforms.
  • Report on impact, tracking metrics such as traffic, engagement, lead quality, and revenue contribution.
  • Own session content planning and organization for our annual customer conference, Vision. Work with product, product marketing, customer marketing, and executives to ensure sessions are engaging, on brand, and answer critical customer questions.
What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism, or brand storytelling, ideally in B2B SaaS or technology.
  • 3-5 years managing a high-performing content marketing team.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with an ability to adapt tone and style across formats and audiences.
  • Bias towards experimentation, e.g., new storytelling techniques, social-first video, infographics, etc.
  • Deep understanding of SEO, analytics, and content performance measurement.
  • Experience managing writers, freelancers, or agency partners.
  • Strong project management skills—able to juggle multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
  • A passion for storytelling, technology, and innovation in marketing.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Asana, Figma (or other collaborative design tool), generative AI content tools, Tableau, Sprout Social, and SEO solutions.
