Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal & Compliance Operations, this role provides hands-on strategic, operational, and change management leadership across Legal, Compliance, and Government Affairs functions. Focused on driving execution, optimizing processes, and scaling capacity, this role partners closely with the Senior Director and functional leaders to operationalize priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
While supporting day-to-day operations as needed, this role is primarily responsible for driving outcomes across key initiatives, including execution of contract lifecycle management (CLM) priorities, contracting and vendor management strategy, procurement function development, AI and technology enablement, data reporting and dashboard development, and governance workflows. This role connects strategy to execution by identifying gaps, improving processes, and ensuring consistent follow-through and accountability across teams. Given the dynamic nature of the function, this role requires the ability to pivot quickly across initiatives, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain focus on execution and outcomes.
As such, this role requires strong ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a complex and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has expertise in procurement and vendor management, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and procurement process design. Candidate should be highly organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving business needs while driving cross-functional alignment and results. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to deliver high-quality work product.
Essential Job Functions:
- Drive execution of legal, compliance, and government affairs operational priorities by translating strategic objectives into structured project plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Build and lead a centralized procurement function encompassing strategic sourcing, vendor management, and governance frameworks, with a focus on cross-functional alignment and spend optimization
- Own end-to-end optimization of cross-functional workflows across key initiatives, establishing standardized, scalable processes
- Proactively identify risks to timelines and drive mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
- Establish and uphold a standard of operational excellence by implementing consistent processes, documentation, and governance across workflows
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and risks across workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Continuously evaluate and refine processes post-implementation to ensure workflows remain efficient, scalable, and effective
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings, driving alignment, tracking progress, and ensuring clear decisions, next steps, and accountability
- Serve as a central point of coordination for operational issues, driving resolution of day-to-day challenges and escalating complex or high-impact matters as needed
- Lead development and maintenance of data reporting, dashboards, and metrics to provide visibility into operational performance and support data-driven decision making
- Drive optimization of the legal and compliance technology stack, including CLM and related systems, to streamline processes and enhance scalability
- Drive experimentation and implementation of AI and technology initiatives (e.g., automation, chatbots) to improve productivity, knowledge access, and operational effectiveness
- Develop and maintain playbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge management resources to enable consistency, scalability, and high-quality execution
- Support development of vendor management and strategic sourcing strategy and execution, including coordination and performance tracking.
- Drive change management efforts to support adoption of new processes, tools, and workflows
- Lead or support special projects and emerging initiatives, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and evolving business needs
Other Job Functions:

- Support of broader Legal Operations initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum Experience
- 5+ years of work experience in project management or operations, preferably in healthcare operations
- 3+ years of direct procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including building or scaling a procurement function
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and implementing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable cost and risk outcomes
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint; expertise with tools like Smartsheet, Power BI/Automate or Tableau preferred
- Demonstrated ability to champion technological innovation and implement technology solutions
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required

Location: Remote - MDPay Range: $100,000.00 - $122,600.00Salary range shown is a guideline. Individual compensation packages can vary based on factors unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
