- Lead Roundtables, and serve as a subject matter expert, on specific lending topics
- Understand, and clearly communicate, complex wholesale credit concepts
- Build consensus for final approach on the topic

- Ensure proactive management of existing credit policies, procedures, and supporting documents
- Address needed Risk Governance edits within policies

- Identify improvement opportunities within policy, procedure, and surveillance.
- Provide accurate and timely answers to credit policy inquiries, from Credit Professionals and other stakeholders
- Effective communication and partnership skills to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus through clear, disciplined credit risk communication
- Participate in content creation of quarterly WHSL Credit Policy Publications
- Provide perspective and feedback on various surveillance programs, such as the Credit Policy Exception (CPE) Program
- Lead resolution of Issues and related corrective actions.
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
- Monitor, assess and report on asset quality, portfolio trends and credit policy exception trends
- Approve and provide credible challenge of line of business credit products, programs, and policies
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues and managers for oversight of risk management
- Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
- 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Asset-based lending credit experience within a large, regulated financial institution.
- Current or prior delegated credit approval authority, including approval of complex credit transactions and provision of effective independent challenge.
- Experience in credit policy development and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus through clear, disciplined credit risk communication.
- Prior management or senior leadership experience, including leading teams or enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives.
