Scopely is looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our WWE Champions team within our Midcore division in the United States or Canada on a remote basis.

What You Will Do- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of new features and systems that enhance player engagement, retention, and monetization
- Work hands-on to conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on meta systems, game modes, events, challenges, and social mechanics that align with the game’s audience and brand tone
- Contribute to systems design discussions around economy, progression, and balancing to support feature goals
- Evaluate live data and player feedback to identify opportunities for iterative improvements to core loops, game modes and live-ops features
- Translate high-level business and creative goals into detailed feature specs, wireframes, and documentation
- Partner closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineering to design, tune, and optimize features based on player behavior and game KPIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Art, UX, Production) to ensure features are implemented to spec and deliver strong player experiences
- Stay current on market trends, competitor titles, and evolving F2P design strategies
- Mentor junior designers by providing feedback and guiding best practices in documentation, ideation, and execution
- 5+ years of experience in game design
- Proven ability to design and deliver impactful live features such as game modes, challenges, events, etc.
- Proven experience in systems design, progression modelling and feature development
- Experience working on live games, especially in the F2P mobile space
- A proven track record of delivering features that balance player fun, engagement, and monetisation
- Familiarity with systems and economy design, including tuning, progression modeling, and numerical balancing
- Experience working cross-functionally and navigating live production environments
- A positive, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to game development
- Strong understanding of feature design fundamentals — player motivation, usability, pacing, and reward systems
- Analytical mindset - comfortable interpreting data to inform design choices
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
- Excellent documentation skills - able to clearly articulate design intent through specs, diagrams, and user flows
- Hands-on experience with Excel and Google Sheets
- Passion for F2P mobile games, especially character-collection RPGs and combat-based systems
Bonus Points
- Experience designing features for character-collection RPGs or combat-based mobile titles
- Ability to mentor other designers and influence cross-team creative direction
- Experience working on mobile F2P games
- Familiarity with WWE
- Experience developing in Unity
