About the role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Mastery, you’ll help build and evolve large scale distributed systems that power mission critical operations for enterprise customers. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and business analysts to solve complex technical challenges and deliver reliable, scalable software with real world impact.
You’ll work within the Load Execution domain, the operational heart of MasterMind, responsible for managing, monitoring, and automating the in-progress lifecycle of shipments across the platform.
Responsibilities

- Bring a strong foundation in software engineering principles and best practices, paired with excellent communication skills and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
- Take ownership of your work and your decisions, be willing to step in and support your teammates when needed, even if it falls outside your direct responsibilities.
- Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy partnering with engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers daily.
- Stay current on modern engineering trends, tooling, and practices, while remaining practical and thoughtful about how new technologies are applied.
- Be comfortable context switching between product focused initiatives, tech enhancements, and production support.
- Be Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Experience collaborating across teams to design and build scalable web applications and microservices.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience working with Node.js and TypeScript preferred.
- Experience with React.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Experience working with Kafka and Event Sourcing.
- Well versed in Microservice Architecture and Patterns.
- Experience with NoSQL and SQL data stores.
- Familiarity with AI assisted engineering practices, including the use of LLMs and agentic tooling workflows to pragmatically improve code quality, delivery, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
