Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.
We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.
Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $123m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $1.1B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.
About the RoleAs a Senior Engineering Manager for the Creator team, you’ll lead the group responsible for the core building blocks of operational planning inside Onebrief: the systems that manage geospatial and temporal data, and the various visual representations of fundamental data entities that underpin our planning workflows. This team’s mission is to make Onebrief indispensable to military staffs by enabling them to plan, synchronize, and visualize complex operations with confidence, speed, and precision.
You’ll lead the delivery of high-impact projects that strengthen Onebrief’s foundation as a first class operational planning tool, and work hand-in-hand with Product and Design to drive alignment and execution across ambitious initiatives. In parallel, you’ll scale the team effectively, maintaining high standards of quality and autonomy as it expands.
This role reports to the Director of Application Engineering and works in close partnership with Product, Design, and other Engineering leadership peers.
About YouYou thrive in complex, high-stakes environments where clarity of purpose and ownership matter most. You’re energized by the challenge of building high-performing teams that solve deeply technical and user-centered problems. You have a bias for action and can balance the demands of delivering immediate results with building the foundation for future scale.
You’re comfortable working in ambiguous problem spaces, mapping technical unknowns, making deliberate tradeoffs, and steering teams toward high-leverage outcomes. You communicate directly and clearly, creating shared understanding so your team can operate with autonomy. You expect excellence from yourself and others, and you help your team grow into that standard.
Above all, you care about impact. You take pride in building systems that empower military staffs to plan faster and execute with confidence, knowing that their work directly supports national security outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with military, defense, or other high-trust domains.
Experience with geospatial visualization, mapping systems, or other large-scale data visualization tools.
