Samba Safety is seeking an experienced Sr. Director of Information Systems reporting to the CIO to lead a team of system professionals in all aspects of Samba's sales automation, service, Enterprise Resource Planning (Netsuite) customer relationship management system (Salesforce.com), and billing platform Zuora.
This leader will help facilitate and lead solutions planning, design, and delivery according to approved specs/requirements, adhering to time, cost, regulatory, technology, and quality parameters. Initiatives may include system upgrades, integrating acquisitions, process improvement enhancements, user experience transformations, and operational improvements.
The individual will assist the IT Leadership team build a culture of high-performing teams, business partnerships, continuous improvement opportunities, and quality by using a wide degree of creativity and past experiences to develop and improve technical and procedural processes for the customer and the IT organization. He/she will also actively mentor and develop individuals within their team to enhance the team's capability and improve their skills and performance. The individual will remain abreast of technology and provide technology thought leadership, which is embodied in the IT strategy and architecture. This includes data management, analysis, setting data standards, system administration, end-user support, sustaining user adoption, user compliance, system access/security, and training development and delivery.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive Information Systems strategy that aligns with our company's business goals and objectives.
- Assess current Information Systems infrastructure, applications, and operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Advocate for and lead significant Information Systems initiatives that provide a clear ROI and long-term value for the company.
Communication Excellence:
- Distill and present complex Information Systems topics to senior leadership, ensuring clarity, relevance, and timeliness.
- Engage with various stakeholders, promoting transparent and effective communication.
- Translate technical jargon into business language to drive informed decision-making.
Team Development:
- Cultivate an environment that promotes professional growth, collaboration, and a strong performance culture.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Information Systems team, ensuring they have the resources and skills to meet organizational needs.
- Implement training and professional development programs to ensure the team stays updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the seamless operation of all Information Systems functions, including infrastructure, application development, security, and support.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, ensuring that Information Systems projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Proven track record of delivering working software in 2-week iterations
- Experience breaking large initiatives into deliverable vertical slices
- History of enabling developer-led technical decisions
- Demonstrated ability to balance process with delivery velocity
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with business leaders across the company to understand their technology needs and ensure Information Systems initiatives support those needs.
- Foster strong relationships with external vendors and partners.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing and leading managers and direct reports.
- Minimum 8 years Salesforce.com administration, implementation, and support experience leveraging Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud, and Communities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing Salesforce.com solution design.
- Minimum 5 years of ERP administration, implementation, and support experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Zuora and
- Experience with Boomi is a plus.
- Experience leading large- and small-scale international projects and supporting a global client base.
- Ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate and work with a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and simply articulate concepts, messages, and strategies both cross functionally and vertically within the organization.
- Ability to analyze disparate pieces of information, gather from multiple data sources and put them into an easy-to-understand structure using Microsoft Excel and/or an advanced database application.
- Thorough understanding of sales and service processes including (but not limited to): lead & opportunity management, quoting, forecasting, customer support, ITSM / ITIL processes.
- Proficient with Jira for managing incidents and SDLC practices.
- Proficient with MS products: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive.
- Ability to juggle competing demands and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Financial acumen and experience with operational reporting.
- Ability to interact and develop relationships with all levels of personnel, including senior management, from both business and technology teams.
- Explicitly understands business analysis concepts, including requirements planning, management, elicitation, communication, documentation, and solution validation.
- Experienced developing business and test case documents along with a cost/benefit analysis.
- Strong customer orientation and commitment to quality.

Other Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement long and short-term strategic plan(s) to address vulnerabilities and opportunities.
- Evaluate IS operations with regards to organizational goals and industry standards
- Act as project manager on technology projects from conception to implementation
- Monitor industry standards and best practices to advise and protect the organization's systems and data
- Identifies and recommends new technology solutions
- Coordinate timely responses to workorder requests
- Identify and organize end user training
- Manage the sourcing and implementation of new software to support the growth of SambaSafety with scalability in mind
- Oversee the review process for maintenance of software to ensure compatibility
- Create clear and defined IS policies and procedures
- Oversee projects and resource to stay in compliance with any Master Service Agreements (MSAs) existing and new
- Manage outside vendor contracts and reviews service reports for completion of work
- Identify future challenges in the IS landscape and recommend and execute mitigation strategies
- Coordinate IS activities to ensure the availability of services and data
- Oversee departmental budget and forecast escalations cost for future budget cycles.
