ABOUT THE ROLE
A Senior Digital Marketing Manager at 321 has extensive experience in media strategy and hands-on digital advertising, lead generation, and implementing paid, organic, and social media campaigns across various networks. This teammate understands the media landscape and possesses the ability to manage a small team and drive strategy for integrated media initiatives for clients. They can understand data, know how to establish KPI’s that drive results, and can help provide value to clients by generating ROI.
In this role, the Senior Digital Marketing Manager will need to be fluent with 1st and 3rd party data and associated industry tools for audience identification and targeting. They are a strong collaborator working upstream across disciplines to bring strategy and customer journeys to life through media activation and creativity.
This teammate will also assist in pioneering a unique and strategic relationship with one of our partners that provides data and advertising technology offerings that is fueling the direction of the agency.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Digital Leadership- Assume total ownership of the data department, including its personnel, the daily operations and functions, and tools/platforms used
- Interact with the digital/data team to ensure resourcing is executed and assigned correctly
- Develop and execute lead generation strategies that align with each client’s funnel and sales goals
- Manage the data department’s workload and skill set to properly assign and complete projects
- Assume the responsibility for the digital philosophy and standard of digital output across the agency
- Provide weekly updates to the Integrator and monthly/quarterly reviews with the leadership team
- Regularly present plans, recommendations, and results in internal and client marketing teams
 
- Project and Client Management- Research, author and/or assist in the production of all digital department proposals, pitches & RFPs
- Oversee that client marketing objectives and initiatives are supported with digital strategies (including but not limited to go-to-market plans)
- Interfaces with project teams, project leads, the Director of Account, and the Integrator to ensure client media plans are being executed per approved strategies
- Ensure the development, execution, tracking, and reporting of media campaigns is on-time and on-goal
- Liaises with clients in regards to digital matters outside the scope of typical account management
 
- Synthesizing Data and Reporting- Oversee the development of robust, dynamic, and highly visual reports and dashboards to answer key business and media questions
- Continually test and optimize campaigns, platforms, channels, audiences, and creative, in the pursuit of delivering the very best client experience
- Understands how to organize, categorize and ingest big data for consumer profile building
- Turn trends and data into compelling insights, strategies, and plans that drive meaningful and measured results
- Leverage data visualization tools to assist with data storytelling and optimization efforts (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau)
- Understand automation platforms such as CRM, as well as user journey mapping and workflow development
 
- Team Building and Support- Handle the recruitment, hiring, buildout and training of digital/data team staff
- Ensure all Digital/Data team properly manage and support client initiatives
- Reviews work, troubleshoots and provides feedback to digital/data teams
- Manages and cultivates the career development of Digital/Data team members; including evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, timelines, and budgets
- Act with a high degree of independence and hold responsibility for overall team success
- Secures, qualifies and manages external digital/data resources where necessary
 
- Stay Current & Reliable- Be a self-starter and quick learner, with a passion for delivering work on time and within scope
- Develop regular thought leadership around omni-channel consumer centric performance marketing
- Be willing to discover and test new platforms, channels, tools and emerging technologies to provide innovation to the agency and their clients
 
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- 7+ years experience in strategic marketing, data analytics, and hands-on digital media placement
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, solve problems effectively, and to remain professional and constructive in all situations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A track record of project and client success.
- Experience in a fast-paced, agency environment.
- Strong track record of leading and managing lead generation campaigns. 
- Experience building teams that motivate each other and drive one another to create even better work.
