The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal part in ensuring the security, efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure and related operations.
This role manages core AWS infrastructure in a sophisticated multi-account environment as well as directly managing some parts of the environment. This person will also be enable teams to own their own infrastructure by directly supporting them and producing standards and guidelines and automation platforms to lower friction.
Additionally, the role will directly impact the efficiency of the businesses to deploy applications, maintain or reduce infrastructure costs and accelerate the time-to-market for new products and solutions. Ultimately enhancing overall business performance and competitiveness in the market.
Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be to architect, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions, leveraging industry best practices. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and drive continuous improvement and innovation across our DevOps practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and deploy robust, automated systems that support our organization's mission-critical applications and services.
Monitor and maintain the health of our cloud environment, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and incidents. Participant in the on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of AWS cloud experience.
· 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
· 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes technologies and ability to design and diagnose production grade deployments at scale.
· 5+ years of production grade coding experience with languages such as Bash, Python and Golang for scripting and automation of services.
· 5+ years of experience with containerization, the docker ecosystem and related tooling.
Preferred Qualifications:
· A solid grasp of cloud security and best practices and an understanding of compliance standards such as HIPAA and HITRUST is preferred.
· 3+ Azure and GCP experience.
