* The Senior Data Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving enterprise-wide data automation efforts, with a focus on creating, enhancing, and automating reports that support CDW's contracting operations team. This senior individual contributor will lead initiatives in process automation, data integrity, and scalable reporting solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will be fluent in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and enterprise data environments, with additional experience in SSIS, Access, and supporting compatible ODBC driver selection and setup to sustain diverse data workflows and system interoperability.
* What you will do
* Design, build, and maintain scalable reporting solutions using SQL, Power BI, and Excel to support contract operations.
* Support existing systems and reporting, including SSIS packages and Access databases.
* Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the Contracting Operations organization to identify reporting needs and automate manual processes.
* Perform data preparation, cleansing, and integration across multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Lead efforts in data governance, documentation, and standardization of reporting processes.
* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, translating operational needs into technical solutions.
* Monitor and troubleshoot database environments, escalating complex issues and ensuring system performance.
* Mentor junior team members and share best practices in data modeling, reporting, and infrastructure support.
* Lead and coordinate data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to project management best practices.
* What we expect of you
* Minimum basic requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, database administration, or data systems analysis.
* Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
* Experience with data warehousing, relational and multidimensional databases.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across technical and business teams.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results independently. Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed
* Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric.
* Experience with SSIS, Access, and ODBC driver management.
* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma) and familiarity with project management practices.
