Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be a key technical expert within the team, responsible for tackling our most complex analytical challenges.

The Data Team empowers business functions by transforming vast and complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. We enable strategic and tactical decision-making through expert reporting, deep-dive analysis, and compelling data visualisation.

You will translate intricate business questions into analytical projects, deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders through self-service dashboards, and mentor other analysts to elevate the team's capabilities.

Working in a collaborative, globally distributed environment, partnering closely with data teams to decipher complex data and build compelling narratives that drive business value. The ideal candidate is results-driven, proactive, and highly effective at transforming datasets into actionable insights that inspire decision-making at every level.

The listed salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an agile, startup-type business, demonstrating adaptability and a bias for action.
  • Proven ability to set technical direction and standards, including making technical solution decisions, evaluating products, running proofs of concept, and educating technical team members.
  • Ability to coach and mentor less senior team members in both technical and analytic domains.
  • Strong advocacy for self-service analytics, empowering business teams with the tools and data needed to become more data-driven and agile.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a knack for quickly identifying gaps and finding, curating, and presenting the right data to help business teams exceed their goals.
  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery (data lake and data warehouse) and SQL.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills with data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Looker.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in leveraging AI to accelerate solution delivery, as well as building AI-driven solutions for business teams.
  • Comfortable working at the intersection of data engineering, data warehousing, and data visualisation, with a primary focus on storytelling and presentation.
  • Strong understanding of core data concepts, including data lakes and data warehouses, with the ability to bridge technical and business domains.
