About Daybreak

Daybreak Health (www.daybreakhealth.com) is building the leading digital mental health system for youth. Our mission is to create a world where every young person benefits from mental health support.

Our mental health system removes barriers to effective care: we create easy access through our school and pediatrician partners, deliver evidence-based online therapy integrated with technology, and bring consumer costs to zero through funding partnerships with government agencies and health insurance. Over the next 5 years, we plan to serve more than 25 million youth who need mental health support.

We are a fully remote team, aligned with our North Star mission. We value efficiency over hours worked, clear written communication, and mental health — including regular mental health days each quarter.

The Role

Daybreak is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Business Analyst to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions across operations, finance, clinical, customer success, and leadership functions. As our dedicated analytics hire, you will play a hands-on role in shaping how data is interpreted, communicated, and embedded into decision-making across the company. You will partner closely with business leaders to define KPIs, create dashboards, and build standardized reporting that informs strategy and execution.

  • Create standardized reporting processes that improve visibility and consistency across the organization

  • Support data literacy by helping teams understand and self-serve reports effectively

  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure alignment on data quality, availability, and governance

  • Set up an analytics-ready database, establish data dictionaries, and manage incoming analytics requests

  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively deliver insights to support operational and strategic priorities

  • Train stakeholders on how to make dashboards and reports

Must Have

  • 5+ years in business analytics, data analysis, or a related field in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and Looker (or comparable BI tools)

  • Ability to translate business questions into analytics solutions for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Hands-on experience building dashboards, pulling data, and creating business reports

  • Proven success collaborating across functions and managing competing priorities

  • Strong ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare, technology, or related industries

  • Familiarity with data governance and reporting standards

  • Exposure to operational, financial, or clinical metrics in a high-growth environment

  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities

Compensation

The target base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000, complemented by stock options and benefits. Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant considerations.

Interview Process

  • Recruiter Screening (30 min, Zoom)

  • Hiring Manager Interview (30 min, Zoom)

  • Technical Interview (30 min, Zoom)

  • Case Study / Assignment (self-paced)

  • Panel Interviews (Conversations with cross-functional stakeholders)

  • Executive Interview (if applicable)
